Flora Garden Co. is a landscape architecture and ecological garden design studio based in Toronto, Canada.
Our approach is rooted in ecology and guided by the beauty found in nature’s own patterns and surprises. We believe every garden should feel alive and dynamic - a place where biodiversity thrives and people feel truly connected to the landscapes they live in.
Our design process weaves your goals for the project with what your site already has, resulting in a garden which is low maintenance and feels well-suited to your space. Native plants and sustainable materials combine to create functional, resilient, and beautiful gardens which are a pleasure to experience.
We believe that a beautiful garden should be accessible - and that no positive change is too small - so we are happy to work in phases to match your budget.

In this complimentary 30-minute session, we walk through your space to discuss your unique vision, challenges, and priorities for your garden, from aesthetic preferences to functional requirements.
You’ll receive immediate, practical ideas on layout, planting, and next steps tailored to your site and lifestyle. This is ideal if you’re not sure where to start, need a second opinion, or want expert guidance before investing in a larger project. You leave with clear direction, a sense of what’s possible, and options for moving forward —whether DIY or with design support.
Landscape design
Ready to transform your outdoor space with a cohesive, custom garden plan?
This service includes a site visit, measurements, concept design, and a detailed planting and layout plan tailored to your architecture, budget, and maintenance preferences. You’ll receive to-scale drawings and a plant palette that considers seasonality, ecology, and how you want to use the space. The goal is to create a beautiful, functional, and sustainable garden blueprint you can implement all at once or in phases over time.

Do you have a garden that feels just a bit “off”? Maybe it’s overgrown, or unbalanced, or losing a bit of it’s magic…
Maybe you have an established garden and are looking to add more native plants without sacrificing your existing planting…
Or perhaps you’ve got a ‘problem area’ where nothing seems to work…
The Garden Edit is for you! Instead of starting from scratch, this service thoughtfully curates what you already have — editing, relocating, and re-combining plants to reveal their best potential.
It may include selective removals, dividing and replanting perennials, refining borders, and introducing additional plants to create structure, cohesion, and four-season interest.
The result is a refreshed, more spacious, and more coherent garden that feels new, while honouring the mature plants and character it already has.
